The target of the described showcases was to draft and evaluate a possible portfolio construction based on IP or Patent valuation principles. Therefore the project partners created 2 different “Patent Valuation” based baskets and indices, which then have been modelled and backtested as an investable portfolio. The results generated throughout the project show quite a positive impact of these patent valuation principles in terms of Performance but also within their risk parameters. Based on these results the creation and market launch of financial products based on patent valuation principles could bring positive impact in this market.
